Events: Paris Hike from Eiffel Tower

Hikers of all ages come out each year for Paris' Randonnée du Rallye Tour Eiffel. The starting point is Halle Georges Carpentier, and participants  can chose one of three circuits, depending on their stamina. All of them take you on a tour of Paris and a selection of famous sites.

A 14km hike takes in Montparnasse, Les Invalides, les Champs Elysées, la Place de la Concorde and the Musée d'Orsay as well as the famed Tower. The longer 20km circuit takes you from la Concorde to Notre Dame, amongst many other vistas. Since 2008, a shorter 13-km circuit was incorporated, with a tram ride for those of you with children. 

At just €1.80 participation, it is a perfect occasion to burn off some Christmas excess, and you can even enroll on the day, so there are no excuses. And bring a coat, as it goes on, regardles of weather changes!
